Brain Snacks: Tasty Tidbits of Knowledge

Dorothy Parker was a key member of the Algonquin Round Table. Back in the 1920s, it was the place where culture was born. Members met in the Algonquin Hotel to tell witty jokes, make fun of each other, and share some of the best plays, thoughts, and poetry of the time (source).

Dot's connected to every important event in the 20th century. OK, not every event. But nearly! She was actually born Dorothy Rothschild…of the "own everything in New York" Rothschilds. Oh, and her uncle died on the Titanic (source). Crazy, huh?
