Slaughterhouse-Five Chapter 1, Section 9 Summary

  • A couple of weeks after calling O'Hare, our narrator really does go to see him. This would've been in 1964, the year of the New York World's Fair.
  • He brings his daughter and her best friend with him. It's the first time the two girls have ever left Cape Cod. They've never seen a river before.
  • They all arrive at O'Hare's house.
