Slaughterhouse-Five Chapter 5, Section 7 Summary

  • Billy finds himself back in the war.
  • He gets his deloused clothes back. His coat, taken from a pile of coats belonging to dead men, is full of bullet holes.
  • The coat is so small on Billy that it splits up the back and the sleeves come off, leaving him with a fur-collared vest instead of a coat.
  • The Germans laugh their asses off at this sight.
