Slaughterhouse-Five Chapter 6, Section 11 Summary

  • Billy shuts the door of the long shed behind him and approaches the stage where Cinderella was performed the night before.
  • Neither Billy nor Edgar Derby nor Paul Lazzaro have blankets of their own, so they curl up on the stage with the blue curtains for covering.
  • Billy sees the silver boots that had been part of Cinderella's costume sitting under her throne.
  • He tries on the boots: they fit just right. Billy is Cinderella.
