Song of Solomon (Song of Songs) Theme of Love Quotes

A love poem with a love theme behind it? Who'd have thought, right? But Song of Songs is actually surprisingly light on musings about love. Mostly because the bride and groom spend the majority of their time talking about how gorgeous they both are and how badly they want to get it on in a vineyard. There are a few passages, though, that hint at their views about love and their devotion and commitment to each other tucked in between all the sexytimes.

Questions About Love

  1. Do you think the bride and groom's love for each other is real? Or is this all just a physical attraction?
  2. What does the bride risk in the name of love? Does the groom risk something, too?
  3. Is the bride's faith in the groom's love romantic or foolish?
