Case Description: Complainant (Thanatos) accuses Defendant (Heracles) of assault. When Thanatos came to take away the soul of Princess Alcestis, he got jumped by Heracles. The hero of heroes wrestled Death into submission and kept Thanatos from doing his duties.

Case Status: Case closed. Eventually, like all mortals, Alcestis was finally taken away by Thanatos. The full story can be found in Euripides' play, Alcestis.
