Mister Golden

Character Analysis

Mister Golden is the editor of the Jackson Journal. He gives Skeeter her first job, as writer of the Miss Myrna advice column. Before Skeeter moves to New York City, she reveals to Mister Golden that Aibileen has been providing the answers to the Miss Myrna letters all along. Showing that he is indeed "golden," Mister Golden extends the job to Aibileen, for the same pay Skeeter was getting.
