The Moonstone

by Wilkie Collins

The Moonstone Second Period, Narrative 1, Chapter 6 Summary

  • The chapter opens with a series of short and snippy notes back and forth between Miss Clack and Franklin Blake.
  • Apparently, Miss Clack wanted to include a series of passages about Death and Hellfire to her narrative, to follow up on the death of Lady Verinder, but Franklin Blake had decided that it was hardly necessary, since the point of the narrative was to describe the events surrounding the disappearance of the Moonstone.
  • Miss Clack is displeased.
