Gentle Giant

Character Role Analysis

Henry Dobbins

Anyone who's ever read a book or seen a movie about a team of people knows that there's almost always a gentle giant. This is the guy who's really huge, and therefore scary-looking, but whose kind nature belies his looks. These gentle giants look like grizzly bears, but they're really just teddy bears. You get the idea.

Henry Dobbins fits this to a T; he's the biggest guy in the platoon and the machine gunner, but he sews and sings and is kind to orphaned girls and monks.
