Tough Guy

Character Role Analysis

Azar

Azar is an example of what happens if the character of the tough guy goes too far. Azar is so tough that he either can't tell when he's being a jerk or he simply doesn't care. He blows up Ted Lavender's puppy and doesn't understand why everyone's mad at him. He kicks O'Brien when he's down—literally, in the head.

He's not exactly the antagonist, though; his kind of casual brutality is simply a part of war.
