Azar is an example of what happens if the character of the tough guy goes too far. Azar is so tough, he either can't tell when he's being a jerk or he simply doesn't care. He blows up Ted Lavender's puppy and doesn't understand why everyone's mad at him. He kicks Tim when he's down – literally, in the head. He's not exactly the antagonist, though; that kind of casual brutality that's simply a part of war.
