Titus Andronicus

Titus Andronicus

by William Shakespeare

Analysis: Steaminess Rating

Exactly how steamy is this story?

Tamora has a torrid and adulterous love affair with Aaron, who likes to go around bragging that he's made Tamora his love slave (2.1.1). Sounds steamy, right? Well, Titus Andronicus isn't exactly a Danielle Steel novel. The affair is steamy up until the scene where Tamora announces that she's off to spend some time with her secret lover while her two sons rape Lavinia on top of Bassianus's dead body (2.1).
