jul 27 Learn More Bobe Hope Dies
Legendary entertainer Bob Hope died at the age of 100 on this day in 2003. From 1941 to 1991, the comedian performed 57 tours for the United Service Organizations (USO) and was made an honorary veteran of the United States Armed Forces in 1997. Not bad for a Brit. That's right; Bob Hope was born in London and emigrated to the United States at age five.
