  • Once again, Tom finds himself the center of attention. We hear about how Tom finally broke down and told the lawyer, despite his fears. Still, however glad and proud he might feel for saving Muff Potter, he spends every night afraid that Injun Joe will come and get his revenge.
  • Rewards are offered, search parties sent out, and detectives called in, but no one can find Injun Joe.
