  • Obadiah announces that Mrs. Shandy is in labor.
  • He runs to get the doctor and ends up running into the doctor.
  • While racing back with the doctor's bag of instruments, he ties the bag so tightly that Dr. Slop can't open it.
  • Obadiah announces to the servants in the kitchen that Bobby has died and then edifies them with a moving sermon about death.
  • He tells Mr. Shandy that Tristram has been circumcised.
  • Along with everyone else, Obadiah goes to Europe with Tristram.
  • Finally, Obadiah complains that Mr. Shandy's bull isn't working the way it should.
