Uglies Chapter 42 Summary

Accomplices

• David and Tally break into the art school to steal bungee jackets (the same way that Shay and Tally did in "Fight").
• But David and Tally can't do it all by themselves. Luckily, there are still uglies who believe in the legend of the Smoke and of David—there's someone lighting a signal in the Rusty Ruins, just like Shay did in "Waiting for David."
• David and Tally go to meet the uglies who are interested in the Smoke. Now Tally does what she does best: she lies. She tells the uglies that the Smoke is moving right now (to avoid getting caught).
• And they make a plan for the uglies to distract most of the Specials.
