Character Analysis

Horne was the former vice-president of the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland and one of the two "masters" of the National Maternity Hospital in Holles Street. The men gather at his hospital in "Oxen of the Sun" to wait for news of Mina Purefoy's birth. In the episode, Horne corresponds to the sun god Helios, who is entrusted to guard the sacred cattle.
