War and Peace

by Leo Tolstoy

War and Peace Volume 2, Part 4, Chapter 9 Summary

  • Christmas time, boring time.
  • There’s nothing to do at the Rostovs’ and Natasha is going stir-crazy in the house. She orders the servants around on needless tasks, annoys her siblings, and wanders around aimlessly.
  • Mostly she’s just missing Andrei and demands to have him back RIGHT NOW.  Which, obviously, is easier said than done.
