Jacob's Parents

Character Analysis

Jacob's parents loved him deeply and sacrificed a great deal for him. They mortgaged their house to get him a good education at Cornell. They hoped that when he graduated he'd come home to work at the family veterinary practice. Sadly, they die in a car crash, and all their dreams perish with them. Jacob's family disappears and his entire life path changes.
