Emilia is a lady in waiting to Hermione. She accompanies Hermione to prison when Leontes throws the queen in the slammer. Emilia’s big moment in the play occurs when she speaks to Paulina about Hermione’s health and announces that the queen has given birth to a baby girl while behind bars.
