A lot of gods make an appearance as a comic book character, but Atlas will do you one better: Atlas Comics is the name of the company that eventually evolved into Marvel. Yeah, he's got a whole line of comics named after him.

In their logo, The World's Strongest Man incorrectly depicts Atlas holding up the earth instead of the sky. Come on, strong people—get with the program.

Steven Spielberg, get ready. We want to see Jurassic Park: Turtles Attack. These giant turtles —now extinct—are known as Colossochelys atlas.
