  • Another person dies, but at least the dust had nothing to do with this one. The deceased is Haydon P. Nye, an elderly gentleman who has seen the best and worst times of the Panhandle region. Once, he profited from Oklahoma-grown crops and even sold the railroad land—in other words, he experienced periods of drought followed by rain and prosperity.
