The Contendings of Horus and Seth

This story describes the fight over the throne of Egypt between the god Horus and Seth. Hathor's father, Ra, was in a bad mood. In order to cheer up her dad, Hathor exposed herself to him. That caused him to giggle, then laugh, making him happy enough to get back to work. Hmmm. That's awkward.

The Book of the Dead

In this 18th dynasty book, the humans get all mushy towards Hathor. They recognize her divine ability to be awesome and basically call her the best goddess ever.
