With guidance and support from adults, produce writing in which the development and organization are appropriate to task and purpose. (Grade-specific expectations for writing types are defined in standards 1-3 above.)
That's right, we're talking about organization again. It's like organization is important or something. This standard supports organization and initial development of a written piece. Of course you're working with young writers, so that means you'll need to hold their hands and guide the way, but we all need a little guidance every now and again.
