With guidance and support from peers and adults, develop and strengthen writing as needed by planning, revising, and editing. (Editing for conventions should demonstrate command of Language standards 1-3 up to and including grade 3.)

We want to hit all of the biggies in the writing process and this standard does just that. From planning, to revising, to editing, this standard requires that we hit the Language standards while we're fulfilling this one.

Teaching the writing process—pre-writing, revising, editing—will fulfill this one nicely.
