Write narratives to develop real or imagined experiences or events using effective technique, descriptive details, and clear event sequences.

Imagination is a true gift, and fourth graders usually have an abundant supply of it. It's time to harness that gift and help the kiddos use it in their writing. This creative, free-flow writing is often much easier for students to get a handle on, but don't let the fun bewitch you: they'll need to work with nonfiction, too.
