If you're coming here from somewhere else, and you have a vehicle that was registered in another state, you'll need to get it registered here within 60 days of your first day of residency or at a new job.

To register an out-of-state vehicle in New Jersey, you'll need:

• a completed and signed Application for Title and Application for Registration.
• out-of-state title or registration card.
• proof of insurance.
• proof of address and identity.
• whatever MVC fees are required.
