Accommodative Monetary Policy

The Fed buys short-term paper, and/or drops short-term interest rates, hoping to expand the money supply sloshing around the economy...with the hope of stimulating this boring, anemic, blah economy and putting people back to work. That's...accommodative, i.e. the proactive conscious efforts of The Fed trying to optimize happiness for all. Isn't there a Beatles song, "Can't Buy Me Love"?
