After-sales Support

All that stuff a company does for you after you buy something from them...is considered after-sales support.

Some of the more prominent examples involve tech retailers, like Apple Care or Best Buy's Geek Squad. Once you get your laptop home, you need somewhere to call to ask where the power button is. Then you'll need to call back to have someone walk you through the set up process. Then you'll likely have to check in again when you can't figure out how to get WiFi working. Then you might call back just because you got lonely.

The goal of after-sales support is to give the customer a good experience (and sell them more crap). It's generally a branding exercise, as companies will also offer upsells or warranties that include enhanced support services. This also applies to bra companies.
