Alcohol Fuels Credit

Ever notice the ethanol mix at the gas pump? The government does, and businesses can claim that alcohol used as a deduction on their taxes. On one of those infinitely numbered forms, businesses can claim a specified amount for each gallon of alcohol used in alternative fuel mixes. The credit accounts for all alcohol used in fuel mixes and sold to the public each tax year.

The government decided to offer this tax break after realizing that all of the corn we don't put on the cob could go to better places than the trash. Instead, farmers can get paid by selling the extra corn to be converted into alcohol. Cutting fossil fuels and cutting taxes...why use fry grease? We have corn.
