American Risk and Insurance Association

We can’t hide our disappointment that a trade organization with the initials ARIA doesn’t somehow represent opera singers. We'd be the last one singing. But, alas, no. Instead, this group has to do with insurance. And they don't sing.
The organization, founded in 1932, advertises itself as a professional association for risk management and insurance professionals. Its members also include "insurance scholars," a group of people whose emails you would only want to read if you were trying to cure a tremendous case of insomnia.
We're still hoping for an opera singer takeover though. Maybe under the name Artists Really Intoning Aggressively.
