Arab League

Huge variations in literacy and other elements pushed 22 countries in 1945 to form The Arab League (nothing to do with soccer) which sought to promote the interest of Arab-speaking Muslim countries. Its membership consists of countries mainly in the Middle East and North Africa. lt includes big names like Egypt and Saudi Arabia, but also places like Somalia, Sudan and Algeria.
