Articles Of Organization

Is your room a mess? Sorry, friend. Articles of organization won’t help, though you wish they would. (You lost your keys yesterday amidst a mountain of nasty two-week old take-out dinner containers and got written up at work because you were 30 minutes late.)
Articles of organization are created when you are establishing a Limited Liability Company (LLC). Like articles of incorporation, articles of organization are filed through the secretary of state’s office. This document is very similar to articles of incorporation in that it will require you to state the name of your business, the address, the name of your registered agent, and why your LLC is being formed.
You will also state who will manage your LLC. This is important because you want to know whether a designated manager will be in charge of your LLC, or if it will be run by its members. You’ll also state how long this company will be an official thing (which is important if you have an end-date in mind), and the organizer(s) of the document.
Now go clean your room...
