We're just going to skip the obvious joke here and roll right on into the real definition. Well, we'll just say the name "Serge Voronoff" and let you look that up on your own. Make your own joke from there. Now, onto the definition:
The augmentation referred to in the term "augmented product" includes any value-added service sold in addition to a core product. So when you buy an electronic device, the company sometimes tries to sell you an extended warranty. The device is the core product and the warranty is the augmented product.
