Average Revenue Per Unit - ARPU

Ten nuns walk into a bar (stop us if you've heard this one before). Six of them get $3.10 PBRs, because it’s what the kids are drinking these days. Four of them get $12 fuzzy navel cocktails, because life is too short for $3.10 PBRs.

If you take the total revenue that the bar made from these nuns ($18.60 of PBRs + $48 of fuzzy navel cocktails = $66.60) and divide it by the number of nuns, you get the average revenue per unit, or user: $66.60 of drank / 10 of nuns = $6.66 ARPU. Because nuns like to live on the edge.
