Bamboo Network

Categories: Econ, Trading, Index Funds

The "Bamboo network" is a slightly racist name for the expat-Chinese-owned business community or fraternity/sorority in Southeast Asia. The companies are usually mid-sized and family-owned, with links to the economy of Greater China.

The business network is mostly concentrated in the large metropolitan areas of Southeast Asia: Hong Kong, Macau, Taipei, Taiwan, Manila, Jakarta, Singapore, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, and Ho Chi Minh City.
