Invented by the super-genius founders of Mozilla Firefox and JavaScript, the BAT uses the Ethereum blockchain, along with a specific web browser (Brave) to serve as a currency on the web platform. It essentially seeks to make digital advertising more efficient and less crappy overall for end-users.

BAT is designed for exchange between publishers, advertisers, and users, and focuses on user attention to improve the targeting of advertisements and reduce inundations of irrelevant or malicious advertisements for the end-user.
