Basic Extended Reporting Period (BERP)

Categories: Accounting, Insurance

Essentially a reporting period extension, which can allow the policyholder to make claims at some point later than the policy cancel date, the retroactive date, or after a policy has been "non-renewed." It will typically cover a set period of time, such as 30, 60, or 90 days.
