Basket

Created after the 1987 stock market crash, the basket is a collection of assets, such as an index option, which have been grouped according to their weighted average and sum. As opposed to securities held in a mutual fund, the investor in a basket owns each investment within it, and is the beneficiary of the investments' capital gains and generated income. Also, you don't want to keep all of your eggs in just one of them.
