Biofuel

Biofuel is fuel made from bio...er...living things, like plants and animals.

You’ve probably heard of ethanol (hello, corn...it’s really in just about everything) and biodiesel (the new gas made from vegetable oils and alcohol, not for consumption, though it is less explodable than petroleum gas). Biofuels are all the rage these days, since they’re more sustainable than extracting ancient dinosaur bones from the Earth. Because biofuel is the future of fuel, major gas companies are trying to gaslight the world by investing millions and millions into biofuel research, saying, “What oil spill? We’re all about the biofuel…” Sure.

In particular, ExxonMobil is turning to algae to make biofuel en masse which can be grown on otherwise useless land, and can produce a lot of biofuel compared to other bio-sources. We’ll see, Exxon, we’ll see.
