Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD)

Categories: Metrics

A person with this condition is subject to intense mood swings and emotional states. Sometimes confused with Bipolar Disorder.

BPDs have a lot of trouble being alone, and it’s easy to make them feel abandoned…which they fear more than Superman fears kryptonite. Their mood swings can make their relationships very unstable. A BPD might get overly attached to someone and follow that individual around like a lost puppy, only to have the person say or do one wrong thing…and there’s no way of knowing what it might be…and the BPD suddenly thinks that person is worse than Stalin on steroids.

Behavior can be completely erratic, and the person can switch from one extreme to another in a matter of days or even hours. Oh…and sometimes BPDs harm themselves. It's no bueno.
