Brazil, Russia, India, China And South Africa - BRICS

An extension of the BRIC nations, but with an accent that’s kinda British, kinda Australian, but definitely not ‘Murican.
South Africa was invited by BRIC members to join the group in 2010, partially to add political heft, and partially because Africa has a trove of natural resources and high-growth, emerging economies. Nigeria was rumored to be the other candidate to represent The Dark Continent, but apparently the coalition didn’t want “BRINCs” to be confused with the armored truck service.
