A trip to New Orleans provided Brittany with a first-hand glimpse at bungalows (commonly known as “Creole Cottages” in the area) for some research she was doing for her architecture class. They are also referred to as “shotguns houses” by locals.

After a day of research and a night on Bourbon Street, Brittany returned to school, but had forgotten all of the terms she learned. Luckily, even with the meager income she earned after graduating with a 2.0 GPA, she was still able to afford a bungalow when she returned to New Orleans to continue her love affair with the city.
