Bust
  
A bust is the verdict of "root canal" in the stock market.
Companies are missing quarters...badly. Maybe the economy is tanking, inflation is being naughty, unemployment is rising, and demand is decreasing.
Usually associated with a bear market, a bust generally follows a boom (bull market). A bad side effect of a bust can be a recession, where unemployment is rampant, housing prices decline, consumers default on their loans, and the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) rapidly falls.
