Capital Investment

Capital investment can mean a couple different things. It can be the money invested into a company, or it can be a company acquiring assets that will produce income. This can include money from banks, investors and venture capital.
Businesses may also invest in one another to expand and build relationships. Generally, this capital focuses on long-term uses. For example, if Business A buys all the equipment from the failing Business B with the expectation of using it for years to produce a profit, then that is a capital investment on the part of Business A.
