Capitalization Table

A capitalization table is a table, graph, list, whatever strikes your fancy, laying out the owners in the company and how much they own. (So, it lists the capital and who owns it...easy enough right?)
This list can break down ownership by percentages, and also provide info on how the ownership stake is structured (what type of stock, etc.). It can also include the price they own that asset at, and when they bought it.
The list can be tailored to certain situations. For instance, you might not want everyone knowing how much each person bought into the company, because some might have gotten better deals than others. The capitalization tables for a company can change over time. Looking at a current version is important, because often, with changing stock options and donors, the details can change a lot.
