Carryover Provision

A carryover provision is a clause within an insurance policy that allows policyholders the option of carrying medical claims from one year, into the next. While costly, this is an especially beneficial clause for those policyholders that have immense, frequent medical expenses that require them to pay a hefty deductible each year, and that go above and beyond what their policy covers.
The carryover provision allows for a portion of the excess claims to be applied to the policy's deductible the following year...meaning you'd have to foot the bill for less. Which is great...especially if you're an accident prone super star athlete like Ben Roethlisberger, or someone who continues to "beat their head" against the wall after reading Trump tweets.
