If you read a lot of Harry Potter, you probably would love it if wizards existed. The thing is...wizards do exist. They’re just not very good at...wizardry.

Take the financial wizards at the Conference Board, an international non-profit with 1,200 public and private members across 60 nations. The Conference Board provides access to weekly indicators, meant to help forecast future economic activity across countries.

The Conference Board took over business indicators from the U.S. Department of Commerce in 1995. The board runs something called the CB Leading Index, which projects future economic outcomes in the United States by breaking down the 10 leading indicators for the country. Expecto patronum.
