Chartered Market Technicians are technical analysis specialists who have been accredited and certified by the CMT Association. CMT membership entails passing three successive exams, receiving three other CMT member references, a sponsorship from CMT associates, and a minimum of three years’ professional work experience as a technical financial analyst, a.k.a. the geek in the office at the end of the hall who stares in front of the computer screen all day, but never writes a buy or sell order ticket.
