Cherry Picking

You're arguing with someone. You care more about winning the argument than actually solving the problem. There are facts that support your argument and there are others that support the opposing view. You only mention the facts that support your point of view. That's cherry picking.

Why it's not apple picking or banana picking is a question for a different time. People call it "cherry picking." If you start calling it "apple picking," people will just stare at you when you say it, vaguely confused.
