Cyber Identity

Our actual identity may differ from our cyber identity. A cyber identity is all of the things that make you “you” on your online profiles: all of your comments, your usernames, and interactions online.

With the rise of social media (and people being a-holes behind anonymous cyber identities), it’s more common that your real-life identity has to be authenticated for you to have a cyber identity on certain platforms. This is how you know those tweets were from the actual politicians and celebrities you follow, and not from some faker or parody account (we're not buying it, TheRealRockIPromise).
